The concepts of health, public health and health promotion have grown in attention in the last decades, in which we have witnessed a strong evolution of the health patterns...
Today, health culture, in particular health promotion, sees the patient as a subject that, together with the doctor, decides his/her clinical and life options, becomes a protagonist in managing his/her own health and a social actor capable of contributing to the improvement of the health conditions of the community where he/she belongs. What most distinguishes the paradigmatic jump towards health promotion is the change from the pathogenic to the salutogenic approach.
Taking this scenario into consideration, the Health Promotion Programme and, in particular, the Salutogenesis Knowledge Hub aims to constitute an international reference point for activities of research, projects and training on salutogenesis and the health of children and adolescents.
We hope that this website may serve as a sharing platform of knowledge for researchers and practitioners of health promotion in relation to salutogenesis and the improvement of child and adolescent health. |
